Ask, Explore, Discover – FAQs for Your Journey

A Bhutan trip cost depends on the type of package you choose. Budget packages start from ₹45,000 per person, mid-range packages fall between ₹80,000 – ₹1,50,000, and luxury tours cost above ₹1,60,000 per person. These usually include accommodation, meals, sightseeing, and local transportation.

The shoulder seasons of May–June and September are best for deals. Weather remains pleasant, and fewer tourists mean lower prices on flights, hotels, and tours.

The best and busiest months to visit Bhutan are March–April and October–November. These months offer spring blooms, fall colors, and major festivals. Hotels and tour packages are costlier, and tourist spots tend to be crowded.

Indian travelers do not need a visa to visit Bhutan, but must carry a valid passport or voter ID. Other foreign nationals must pay a visa fee of USD 40–50, usually processed through your tour operator.

Bhutan is generally more expensive than India because of mandatory daily tariffs, guided tours, and limited hotel options. However, traveling during shoulder seasons and choosing budget packages can make the trip more affordable.

Must-buy Bhutanese souvenirs include handmade textiles, traditional handicrafts, thangkas, wooden masks, jewelry, local honey, and herbal teas.  Popular shopping places: Thimphu Weekend Market, Paro Market, and craft shops in Punakha & Bumthang.
