Do Indians require a Visa to visit Northeast India?
No, Indians do not require a visa to visit Northeast India, however, some states demand Inner Line Permit (ILP). Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, and even Manipur require ILP. The permit lasts between 7 and 30 days in the different states. One can have it on the internet or in special offices. Cost ranges from ₹50–₹200. The documents required contain ID proof, photo, and travel details. The foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit (PAP).
