You just arrived in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia! You will have an agent who will meet you at the airport and then take you to your hotel. You can take time to rest after your flight or go out to walk around the city and know a little more about it by eating some khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) or khorovats (BBQ).

Then a short walk up to the top of Narikala Fortress and a ride up there on a cable car against the background of incredible city views. Today you visit the oldest town of Georgia, Mtskheta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was the capital of ancient Georgia. You walk around the more than 1,000-year-old Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. You will then visit the ancient Cave City of Uplistsikhe. It is a town carved from rocks, where people used to worship, live, and trade for thousands of years. You will then return to Tbilisi and spend your evening there.

You will be driving the next morning up to Kazbegi, an amazing village in the range of the Caucasus Mountains. En route, you will stop at Ananuri Fortress on top of a beautiful lake.
