Itinerary
You just arrived in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia! You will have an agent who will meet you at the airport and then take you to your hotel. You can take time to rest after your flight or go out to walk around the city and know a little more about it by eating some khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) or khorovats (BBQ).

Begin your day at Holy Trinity Cathedral-the largest in Georgia. Proceed down Rustaveli Avenue, the main street of the city, where you will see cultural icons including the Opera House and the Parliament, finishing in Freedom Square. Take a stroll over to the Georgian National Museum to learn just a bit more about the country's ancient history and culture. Meanwhile, relax in an old-fashioned café over a restful lunch. In the late afternoon, take the Tbilisi Funicular up to view the top amusement park of Mtatsminda Park to see the city from the top of the hill. Finish your evening over a light dinner in the Old Town.

Drive out of Tbilisi on Day 3 to see two of Georgia's most important historical sites on a half-day trip. Head for Mtskheta: an ancient town and former Georgian capital. Visit Jvari Monastery, which gives stunning views over the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, in which is said to be housed Georgia's most treasured relic, the cloak of Christ. In the afternoon visit Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town with cave dwellings, temples, and tunnels dating from the 6th century BC. Return to Tbilisi for a free evening.

Drive to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda), pass by Ananuri Fortress-a pretty 17th century medieval complex-and Zhinvali Reservoir, a peaceful water reservoir. Arrive in Kazbegi and take a jeep ride or hike up to Gergeti Trinity Church, standing on a mountain top at 2,170 meters, with spectacular views of Mount Kazbegi. Overnight in a guesthouse enjoying breathtaking views of mountains and Georgian mountain food.

Visit the Gudauri ski resort on the day. The resort would have, probably, been in high demand for skiing; however, during good summer months, it is worthwhile to admire the scenery that lines the surrounding mountains. Drive to the Kakheti wine region. On the way, you visit this beauty town called Sighnaghi, which is referred to as the "City of Love." Get a stroll along its cobblestone streets and explore the city walls, with panoramic views from top over Alazani River Valley. Get to your accommodation in Kakheti and attend a wine-tasting session where you will be offered the Georgian wines, such as Saperavi and Rkatsiteli, together with some traditional Georgian dishes.

Spend a whole day exploring Kakheti, considered the heart of Georgia wine country. Today you visit Tsinandali Winery, the home of great wine cellars and royal connections. Also, other wineries, like Shumi Winery and Kindzmarauli, are going to be discovered. Being here, you will taste wine and learn about ancient methods of winemaking, including Qvevri - clay jars. Afternoon, by visiting Telavi, the capital of Kakheti, climbing to Batonis Tsikhe Fortress, viewing over vineyards, is spectacular. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a winery or local restaurant.
Then drive south and visit Vardzia: an ancient cave city, carved into the sides of Erusheti Mountain dating back to the 12th century as a monastery and fortress. It was a strategic center in the era of Queen Tamar. Walk through the caves, churches, and tunnels and ponder the beautiful landscape. In the afternoon return to Tbilisi for the night.

Today is a journey to the seaside town Batumi, located on the Black Sea. It is a scenic drive through landscapes that unfold from mountainous terrain to subtropical forests. Visit Batumi Boulevard, a lovely seafront promenade that combines parks, cafes, and sculptures. The Batumi Botanical Garden is among the largest and most diverse in the world, featuring flora from every corner of the Earth. Sit down in the evening, on the beach, with fresh seafood from a lowly dinner, so enjoy the sun in its setting position.

During the day, take off to see the city of Batumi and its wonders. Visit the Batumi Archaeological Museum to see facets of this city's past or meander down Old Town's quaint streets and their eclectic array of architectural styles. Take joy rides on the views of the city of Batumi and its coastline when you visit while riding on the Batumi Cable Car. If adventurous, you can spend your time lazing away at any of Batumi beaches or take a boat trip in the Black Sea. You can stroll leisurely by the sidewalk of the seaside promenade in the evening time.

On your final day, you leave either by a short internal flight or else on a stunningly gorgeous drive back to Tbilisi. Following this you are taken to Tbilisi International Airport for your return to home.
