Let's visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of the largest in the world; take a ride on the cable car up to Narikala Fortress for panoramic views over the city; and meander down through the narrow streets admiring the colorful houses, finishing the evening with a traditional Georgian dinner accompanied by a glass of wine.

After breakfast, a day trip to the UNESCO-listed ancient capital town of Mtskheta. Visit the over-a-thousand-year-old Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and then go on to the Cave City of Uplistsikhe. The ancient town once was an important cultural and trading center; you get the chance to walk through its caves, tunnels, and temples. Return to Tbilisi in the late afternoon with some free time.
